Empire Settee

This Settee in solid Black Walnut is hand carved with ebonized “rod and berry” details. The “Gabon ebony rosettes” are custom made in our shop.  Your eyes observe the overall beauty of the settee but then you’re drawn to the subtle carvings.  Mortise and tenon joinery makes this settee safe for four young boys and a lifetime of use.  The black diamond pattern fabric chosen to upholster the settee’s back, seat and arms complements the ebonized carving.  Gabon Ebony in the raised detail of the ankle is reminiscent of the attractive "Green and Green" style.  The finish is natural lacquer.
